Mori Girl Hair Tutorials - Yes its More than Just Air Dried and Out

PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

The Mori-style Book Spring Edition has some nice Mori Girl hair options that forcably keep within the earth child theme of the look. I'm surprised to see a curling iron quite honestly, but its used subtly... subtly. Hair accessories are nature-inspired from flowers to stars. All in all, I like the effortless style of the Mori Girl. I truly feel inspired to start considering more Mori Girl clothing for the oncoming warm weather and desperately need the Mori-style Book Summer edition (I mean how do you translate this look for hot weather!? Just like "Goths in Hot Weather" there will be "Mori in Hot Weather.") Thank you Moko moko love for these great scans! Click any image to see her post and links to larger images.

Aww, mori is just so great! And what I love the most about it is the hair styling! Braids and curls and tails all mixed together <3

I think, with the curly iron, they just want to reproduce the western hair. I get my hair all curly like in these scans just from air-drying it... so since japanese people tend to have a stright hair, they really have to iron-curl it to have it minimally curled.

I'm intrigued for the summer styling as well! I think onepieces and sleeveless should be the main option, since layering in summer is just wrong, too hot, even more in Japan, where the summer is extreme!

And thank you for linking me back <3 I'm glad you like this style!

Sasa - wow you are right! the curling iron is probably to replicate a more natural air-dryed look since their hair is so straight usually!

i love this style and was happy to link you. your blog is really really cute :)

Layering shouldn't be too much of a problem as long as the fabric is light and thin. To be honest, with the amount of bare leg/mini skirt combos I saw in snowy Winter, I'm afraid to see what happens in the Summer!

Miruku - wow if we are lucky we will see the opposite? wait nevermind. we will all die of heat!
