The Sexualization of Harajuku

Dai breathes new perspective into those Japanese fashion-forward females. He himself cosplays as a female (from the looks of it thats his daily routine) and suddenly these images take on a new meaning. These are images of his admiration and what he thinks is awesome about being a girl. Click here for more.

Do you think its okay for strong females to appreciate art like this? Seeing it for what it is?

Images of admiration and how good it is to be a girl? Are you kidding me?

Looking at these images, I see blatant sexism and the sexualization of girls from a man's point of view.

Not cute.

akumaxkami - well i admit its sexualization and not an entirely flattering view on women but its something new. its what this man perceives to be sexy about women. i think these women have a great deal more flare than some of the other works of this nature.

if i was to look at it very seriously than i agree with you 100%. as a woman i don't know if its ever okay to enjoy artwork like this but i do! believe it or not i consider myself a feminist too.

i'm going to edit my last sentence though and make it clear this is what HE believe is admiration and what HE believes is awesome about being a girl.

I actually love this art, I love how the girls are not SUPER skinny but have fuller figures.

This art seems more empowering than skeezy....

But of course that is my out look on it.

PeachPixie - yeah! these figures are so refreshing!!! i agree to that these women are not in compromising positions by any means.
